This 6 tube receiver employs circuitry normally achieved using 7 tubes thanks to the multiple-function European loktal tubes.

All knobs are mounted on the sides. The tuning indicator is mounted in the top of the cabinet and is viewed through the dial. The chassis is in 3 sections to allow the controls to be situated at either end, with the power supply section in the centre.

The RF chassis is shared with some other models of the era, for instance BX765X.

The tuning capacitor has 6 gangs. 3 normal ones are used for MW. 3 special ones used for SW have sections cut out of the plates to allow a novel bandspread system.
