Philips model BX485A, 1949

This radio is an earlier and simpler version of the BX495A . It was highly popular and successful in the local market.

The dial is mounted over the loudspeaker, and the radio has 'spread' shortwave bands.
The tubes are diverse - European loktal types, rimlock, octal and an AZ1 rectifier.
