This is one of a series of compact yet fully featured Bakelite radios using rimlock tubes.

This radio is essentially similar to the export model BV416A, and shares a basic chassis also with models BV416A, BX426A, BV427A and BV429A.

This BX model however is Dutch made and has differences in finish, and allows a wider selection of mains voltages.
